Today we had 257th Regular Meeting by zoom on Mar.18th,2023.
All though we had the less members than usual because of this time of the year,
we had another ‘vital’ meeting with one guest.
I served as Toastmaster of the Day.
I chose “A new chapter” as today’s meeting theme, because these days
I felt like we were going out of the long tunnel of Corona situation, and our daily life is returning to the normal without a musk little by little.
In TT session we had timely and enjoyable questions regarding to sports, or athletes.
We had 3 prepared speeches from which two were delivered from Melbourne, Aus. and one was from Osaka. All were persuasive and humorous. Especially, TM Y showed good and funny facial expressions and gestures!
At the end I was pleased to hear the guest was impressed at the high quality of the meeting and friendly atmosphere, and she’d come back to the next meeting to be a member. Wonderful!
本日、257回目の例会をzoomで開きました。この時期、いつもより、参加者は少なめでしたが、再びとても生き生きとした例会となりました。
私はTMDで司会を担当。今回の例会テーマは、A new chapterとしました。
最近、やっとコロナの長いトンネルから出て、マスクなしの元の生活が徐々に戻って
来ていると感じたのでそう決めました。
即興スピーチでは、タイムリーなスポーツについての質問で、楽しみました。
３名の準備スピーチは、２人がメルボルンから、１人は日本からです。３人とても説得力あり、ユーモアあり、特にYさんの顔の表情、ジェスチャーには和みました！
そして、最後にゲストの方から、クラブの質の高さフレンドリーな雰囲気に驚いたとおっしゃられ、メンバーになりたいと、言って頂いたのでとてもうれしい思いをしました。
素晴らしい例会でした！
