What I learned from "Get-Together"

日本語は下にあります On Wednesday, January 31st, I participated in “Get-Together” held by Division C.

I received a lot of valuable tips from discussions about improving club management and quality with Division Director, Temma-san, Area Director, Matsumoto-san, and a members of Kyoto TMC and  Siga TMC, Kodama-san. So I would like to share them with you all.

I immediately proposed those ideas to my club.

We might want to….

*Take turns holding workshops frequently on such as roles of a regular meeting

*Assign multiple grammarians and choose the best from them

*Confirm  the gist of “Wear many Hats” and” Moment of Truth” from time to time

In particular, work to thoroughly confirm the goals of each member in a timely manner.

*Solicit feedback on regular meetings not only from the General Evaluator but also from participants

* Write down the club's own rules and methods in writing and check with everyone as appropriate.

*Reserve prepared speech speakers and prepare for cancellations in order to stabilize the number of prepared speeches at regular meetings

*Pay attention to how you clap your hands for the speakers to encourage them

Online, make some loud movements, and at the venue, keep applauding until the speaker stand on the stage and get ready to speak

*Review the mentoring system to suit your club.

The meeting let me be aware of how to understand thoughts and feelings of each and every member of the club, and to take leadership to ensure that everyone is motivated but not overwhelmed, resulting in increasing the number of guests and membership. I would like to put this into action immediately.And I’d like to keep enjoying and improving my skills through Toastmasters' activities with my fellow members.

＊複数の文法係からベストを選ぶ

＊『Wear many Hats』や『Moment of Truth』をもう一度会員で確認実行する

特に各会員の目標などをしっかり確認する作業を適時行う

＊例会へのフィードバックをGeneral Evaluatorだけでなく参加者から募る

＊クラブ独自の決まりややり方を文書にしてみんなで適宜確認し合う

＊例会での準備スピーチの数を安定させるために、準備スピーチスピーカーを確保（リザーブ）してキャンセルに備える

＊スピーカーを鼓舞するために拍手の仕方に気を配る。

オンラインでは少し大きな動作をしたり、会場ではスピーカーがステージに立ちスピーチするまで拍手をしっかり送り続けるなど。

＊メンター制度をクラブに合うように見直してみる 今回の集まりのおかげでどうやったら、クラブの一人一人の会員さんの考えや想いを知り、みんなで無理のないように、しかし確実にやる気を出せるようにリーダーシップをとりながらゲストや入会者数を増やしていけるかを気付かされました。 早速、実行に移したいと思います。 そしてますますこのトーストマスターズの活動を通して楽しみながら皆さんと共にスキルを磨いていきたいと思います。 ナニワトーストマスターズ 広報担当 渡邊一美
