We had a lively Online meeting on 16May.
A: How was yesterday's meeting in Naniwa?
B: It was fun. Since the theme was Weather, we got to hear various interesting stories from members in the impromptu speech segment, and there were three formal speeches.
A: Oh, that sounds interesting.
B: The first was about the relationship between Toastmasters activities and myself, the second was a humorous speech about a reunion, and the third was a speech that made you realize what’s important in human relationships. After that, all the participants shared their impressions in turn, and it was interesting to see the different perspectives.
A: I see.
B: Also, Toastmasters has a program called Pathways where members can develop communication and leadership skills according to their own goals, and there was a presentation explaining how to use it and its appeal.
A: That sounds kind of difficult.
B: No, no, it has been recently improved and made easier to use, and apparently, the more you use it, the more you get hooked. I also got to hear stories and advice from veteran members, which gave me a bit of motivation.
