The 300th Regular Meeting on September 19th-Thought of the Day

Congratulations on the 300 regular meeting of Naniwa TMC!

Naniwa TMC was chartered in March 2002 with 32 charter members including non-Toastmasters. TM N was one of the charter members and she has still been a member of Naniwa TMC. Thank you, TM N, for your long-time contributions to Naniwa TMC.

I joined Osaka TMC in 1999. When I became a Toastmaster, my goal was to improve my English-speaking ability and learn how to speak on my feet without nervousness.

Three years later, I moved to Naniwa a half year later from its charter. Naniwa TMC has thrived with members’ cooperation and enthusiasm year and year.

This is the 10th Anniversary booklet. There are many members’ photos in the booklet and I still remember their faces who left our club many years ago.

During COVID 19, we were forced to hold online meetings like today, but we found several good points of online meetings such as, participating a meeting from home, office, or any places. After the COVID 19, we have held hybrid meetings, technically hard but a lot of fun. We always try to find a way to improve our club.

Throughout my Toastmasters journey for 27 years, I realized that Toastmasters experiences helped me grow and expanded my life. I cannot think my life without Toastmasters.

We can enjoy Toastmasters activities and reach our goals by working together and helping each other!

Next year 2027, we will have 25th Anniversary of Naniwa TMC. Let’s Cooperate together to develop Naniwa TMC more and more!

なにわTMC、第300回例会開催おめでとうございます！

なにわTMCは2002年3月、トーストマスターズ会員以外の方を含む32名の創立メンバーによって発足しました。TM Nさんはその創立メンバーの一人であり、現在もなにわTMCの会員として活動を続けておられます。TM Nさん、長年にわたるクラブへの貢献に心から感謝申し上げます。

私は1999年に大阪TMCに入会しました。トーストマスターズに参加した当初の目標は、英語のスピーキング力を向上させること、そして緊張せずに即興で話せるようになることでした。

それから3年後、なにわTMCの設立から半年が経った頃に私は同クラブへ移籍しました。以来、なにわTMCはメンバーの協力と熱意によって、年々発展を遂げてきました。

これは10周年記念の冊子です。中には多くのメンバーの写真が掲載されており、何年も前にクラブを去った方々の顔も懐かしく思い出されます。

コロナ禍では、本日と同様にオンラインでの例会開催を余儀なくされましたが、自宅やオフィス、あるいはどこからでも参加できるといったオンラインならではの利点も見出すことができました。コロナ禍を経て現在はハイブリッド形式の例会を行っています。技術的な難しさはありますが、非常に楽しいものです。私たちは常に、クラブをより良くするための方法を模索し続けています。

27年にわたるトーストマスターズでの活動を通じて、私はこの経験が自身の成長を促し、人生を豊かに広げてくれたと実感しています。今や、トーストマスターズのない人生など考えられません。

互いに協力し助け合うことで、トーストマスターズの活動を楽しみ、それぞれの目標を達成していきましょう！

来たる2027年には、なにわTMCは25周年を迎えます。これからも力を合わせ、なにわTMCをさらに発展させていきましょう！
